Terms of Service

Last updated October 13, 2026

These terms govern your use of cardIQ — the app for Android and iOS, the dashboard at app.cardiq.gg, the public API and this website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, you accept them.

Publisher

The Service is published by Glados Group OÜ, a private limited company registered in the Estonian Commercial Register under code 17456495, whose registered office is at Viru väljak 2, 10111 Tallinn, Estonia. VAT number: EE102969230. Contact: support@cardiq.gg.

It is hosted by DigitalOcean, LLC, whose servers in Amsterdam run the API and its database, and by Cloudflare, Inc., which serves this website and the dashboard.

The Service

cardIQ gathers the sales and listings of trading cards published on marketplaces such as eBay, Fanatics Collect and Goldin, matches them to a catalogue of cards and turns them into price references, deals and alerts. It also lets you follow your own collection and query the same data through an API.

cardIQ is not affiliated with any marketplace, grading company or card publisher. Card, player and game names, logos and pictures belong to their owners and are shown only to identify the cards.

Your account

You must be 18 or older and give accurate information. An account is for one person: keep your password and your API keys secret, since everything done with them is done in your name, and tell us at once if you think your account has been compromised.

You can delete your account at any time, in the app or on the dashboard: see the account deletion page.

Plans and subscriptions

Access to the data requires a paid plan. Each plan and its quota are shown before you subscribe. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel it.

You can subscribe on the web or in the app. A subscription gives the same access wherever you sign in, and it is paid, changed and cancelled where it was bought. Hold one subscription at a time: subscribing again elsewhere does not cancel the first.

A plan includes a quota of requests per period. Past it, requests are refused until the quota renews, and unused requests do not carry over.

Packs

On top of a plan you can buy packs of tracked cards. A pack is paid once, at the price shown before you confirm, and you can buy as many as you like: they add up. Packs are bought on the dashboard and paid through Stripe, whichever way your plan is billed.

  • A pack lasts as long as your subscription. It stays when you change plan, and ends, with every other pack, when the subscription ends: cancelled and run to the end of its period, expired, or ended after failed payments.
  • A pack bought during a free trial is lost if the subscription does not continue after the trial.
  • Subscribing again later starts with no pack. A pack that ends with its subscription is not refunded; a refunded pack ends at once.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the withdrawal right described under "Subscribing on the web" covers a pack too. A pack applies as soon as it is bought, at your request: if you withdraw within 14 days, it ends and is refunded.

The packs on sale, their prices and how they work may change over time. A change applies to packs bought after it, never to a pack already bought, which keeps what it was sold with.

Subscribing on the web

  • On the dashboard at app.cardiq.gg, payment is handled by Stripe and prices are in US dollars.
  • A free trial, when offered, lasts three days and is limited to one per person. Your card is charged when it ends, unless you cancel before.
  • A more expensive plan applies at once, charged pro rata for the rest of the period. A cheaper plan applies at the next renewal.
  • You cancel from the dashboard's Subscription page. Cancelling stops the renewal: you keep your plan until the end of the period already paid, which is not refunded.
  • If a renewal payment fails, access is suspended three days later until the invoice is paid; after repeated failures, the subscription ends.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you can withdraw from a subscription bought on the web within 14 days of ordering it. By using the Service during that time, you ask for it to start at once: if you withdraw, you pay only for the days used.

Subscribing in the app

In the iPhone and iPad app, a subscription is bought through Apple's App Store; in the Android app, through Google Play. The store takes the payment from the account you use with it and applies its own terms of sale, alongside these terms.

  • The price is the one the store shows before you confirm, in your currency with taxes included. It can differ from the price on the web.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before that end.
  • A free trial, when the store offers one, lasts the period shown before you subscribe and is limited to one per store account. Buying a subscription during a trial ends what is left of it.
  • Changing plan, when the change applies and what it costs follow the store's rules, shown before you confirm.
  • You manage and cancel the subscription in the store: on iPhone or iPad, Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal: you keep your plan until the end of the period paid.
  • Refunds are decided by the store under its own policy: Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, Google from your Google Play order history. We cannot refund an App Store purchase ourselves; for Google Play, you can also write to us.
  • If a renewal payment fails, the store retries it for a while, and your plan stays available as long as the store reports the subscription active.
  • In the European Union, the right of withdrawal on a store purchase is exercised with the store, under its terms.

A store subscription is tied both to your cardIQ account and to your store account: on a new phone, sign in and choose Restore purchases. Deleting your cardIQ account does not cancel it — cancel it in the store first.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • resell, redistribute or publish the data in bulk, or use it to build a competing service;
  • share your account or API keys, or get around quotas, limits or security measures;
  • collect the data by automated means other than the API;
  • use the Service for anything unlawful, or send alerts to destinations you have no right to use.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why unless urgency or the law prevents it.

Data and liability

Prices, references, deals and valuations are estimates computed from public sales and listings. They may be incomplete, delayed or wrong, and they are not financial or investment advice: buy and sell on your own judgement.

Listings link to marketplaces we do not operate: what you buy there is between you and the seller.

We do our best to keep the Service available but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. As far as the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the event, and excludes indirect losses such as a missed sale or profit. Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumers hold under the law.

Intellectual property

The Service, its software, catalogue, price references and design belong to Glados Group OÜ. Your plan gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for its duration, within these terms. Your collection, alerts and settings remain yours.

Personal data

How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. We will tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before a significant change applies; if you do not accept it, you can cancel your subscription before then.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Estonian law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

In case of a dispute, write to us first at support@cardiq.gg: most problems are solved this way. If you are a consumer, you may also refer it free of charge to the Consumer Disputes Committee of Estonia's Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (ttja.ee). Failing an amicable solution, the dispute goes to Harju County Court in Tallinn; a consumer keeps the right to bring it before the courts of their place of residence.
